About Me

Yoga for me is about improved health and wellbeing; physical, mental, emotional. It’s about creating balance; in the body, in the mind and in life. It is for everyone.

I was hooked from my very first yoga class. That was thirty years ago and I’ve been practising ever since. Ultimately, I gave up a career in book publishing to become a yoga teacher, and have been teaching for fifteen years.

I’m certified with the British Wheel of Yoga (500 hours), and have accrued a further 600 hours’ training with wonderful teachers over the years. This includes somatic yoga, yoga therapy, Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs, Yoga Nidra, mindfulness, and teaching meditation. (For credentials, please see below.)

I spent a year studying yoga in India in 1999, and am interested in all aspects of yoga; I love to pass on what I continue to learn to others.

Yoga has enhanced my life beyond measure, and my hope is to pass on some of the benefits I’ve gained to others.

‘True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed, but to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about who you have been, yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied’ – Aadil Palkhivala
